Freelancers Outpost is a premium freelance marketplace: a digital platform that connects clients with talented freelancers.
Freelancers Outpost was initially part of the Outpost Network, but a group of web enthusiasts and entrepreneurs acquired it more than a year ago to spin it of as a seperated entity. Since then we completely redesigned and developed the site. With the acquisition came a few hundred freelancers, which allowed us to develop and iterate at a fast pace, introducing new features without messing up the core of the system.
We also ran several, smaller, marketing campaigns to bring in freelance jobs and to streamline the process of buying and selling services on our marketplace. We are almost at a point where we can leave the beta stage behind, with a fresh round of funding and a big media launch coming shortly.

- Aug 2010: acquisition of Freelancers Outpost
- Okt 2010: introduction of the redesign
- Jan 2011: addition of the freelance listing pages, project listing pages; rewrite of the bidding system.
- Apr 2011: small marketing launch: we ran campaigns on sites like Codeigniter, Google, Adknowledge, to name a few.
- Sep 2011: we increased the amount of portfolio items a freelancer can upload from 5 to unlimited.
- Dec 2011: 1800 freelancers and counting!
- Jan 2012: we welcome freelancer #2000.
